Jana and Josh :)

Jana and Josh are always a joy to be around. They are just as fun to photograph! I photographed their wedding December of last year, time has been going by so fast! I am in the wedding class at Brooks this session and this photoshoot was for one of my portfolio assignments. We got to go to two different locations to take some shots of this adorable couple in their wedding attire. Thanks so much guys for modeling for me! :)

I decided to throw these in the mix to break up all the different photoshoots and show something a little more personal to me. Friends,camping, and rockclimbing, a pretty awesome combination. Grant and I recently went camping with our good friends Jonnell and Todd and their two cute rugrats, London and Triston. We went to the Sequoia National Park and even got to climb off the railing at Moro Rock which is 4,000 feet above the valley floor. Pretty fun! By far the most fun about this climb was the comments we got from tourists watching. Amazing little London(3 1/2 yrs old) even insisted on climbing it "all by myself without daddy!"! pretty awesome! Here are some of my favorite snapshots from the trip along with a few i took real quick before we left for the trip. Hope you enjoy. :)

Little London climbing Moro Rock! Don't worry...London is completely fastened safely in her harness. Although it looks like Todd is holding her up with the rope, it is quite the contrary. Grant is belaying London behind Todd... meaning Grant is making sure London is completely secure with the correct belay devices etc. Todd is holding the rope to help take some of her weight and to direct her where to go. I know it may sound like BS saying "everything is safe, she's fine." But Todd is a fire fighter and teaches climbing safety, we have the upmost respect for climbing and its dangers and put great importance in being as safe as possible whenever climbing. Believe me, we also wouldn't have her climb unless she said she wanted to, and she insisted on climbing this rock. :) such a cutie. These photos will be pretty rad for her to show her friends when she is older!

Blue Whales

I went on a SubSea Tour whalewatching trip a few weeks ago with Ryan and Grant. There are Blue Whales in the water right now not to far off the coast, apparently this is somewhat rare so it was pretty neat to see it in person. :) They are the biggest animal on the planet!

Steph and Tim

Stephanie and Tim are one of the cutest couples at Brooks. I've been going to school with them for two years now and they are adorable together. This was an impromptu photo shoot I did in 15 minutes or so after steph finished photographing Grant and I in Morro Bay. Steph's shoot was just as short, a way of keeping our (not-so-excited to take photos) boyfriends happy. Afterwards we went to Tacos De Mexico, mmmm! :) Thanks guys... more specifically thanks Tim for putting up with taking photos! Haha I wish the majority of guys were more interested in having photos being taken of them! :)

nancy and Jamie

These photos were also taken for an assignment at brooks. Nancy and Jamie are always fun to shoot and are some of my favorite models. They are pretty cute together and always a riot to hangout with. Jamie plays the standup bass in a band called Cadillac Angels; thus the standup bass in the photos. I wanted this shoot to be all about them and their personalities and style. I love shooting in fields... pretty much my go-to for any type of session at least for a few shots. I am pleased with the way they turned out. Thanks guys... and thank you Jamie for carrying that bass out there into the field!! :)
